CBT in the Workplace’ offers you a structured method of empowering your patients to understand, take ownership of, and overcome their difficulties. This half-day seminar focuses on anxiety and depressive disorders in adults and covers brief interventions including behavioural activation, cognitive approaches, mindfulness, overcoming resistance to change and using self-help resources.
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommends Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as a first line psychological approach for many mental health problems. As a clinician, you may not be a psychotherapist, but you can use talking techniques (rather than formal ‘therapy’) effectively within primary and secondary care.
