SAPROF and HCR20v3

For the first time the Andrew Sims Centre will be offering a joint SAPROF and HCR20v3 course, combined into the two days. Led by Dr Kerry Hinsby, this two day workshop will familiarise you with both HCR20v3 and SAPROF tools, teaching you to use them in your clinical practice. This course is also suitable for you if you have already attended the previous HCR version training.

HCR-20 tool is the world’s leading Violence Risk Assessment instrument. It’s a practical tool for the clinical assessment of risk of violence in the mentally disordered, in forensic and general adult psychiatric services. HCR-20 is designed to assist individual clinicians and multidisciplinary teams form structured, evidence based, individual risk management plans.

SAPROF is a structured checklist designed for you to use alongside tools such as the HCR20v3. The addition of the structured assessment of protective factors creates a more balanced risk assessment for future violence risk, enabling a more positive approach to violence prevention and aiding formulation, evaluation and risk communication.

The course fee only includes the SAPROF manual, and does NOT include the HCR20v3 manual.
Options to buy the HCR20v3 manuals in advance of the course are available, please contact us directly if you need more assistance with booking this course and the manuals -
