After a successful event in November, Andrew Sims Centre is pleased to offer another joint SAPROF and HCR20v3 course, combined in to two days.
Led by Dr Kerry Hinsby, this two day workshop will familiarise you with both HCR20v3 and SAPROF tools, teaching you to use them in your clinical practice. This course is also suitable for you if you have already attended the previous HCR version training.
HCR-20 tool is the world's leading Violence Risk assessment instrument. It's a practical tool for clinical assessment of risk of violence in the mentally disordered, in forensic and general adult psychiatric services. HCR-20 is designed to assist indivual clinicians and multidisciplinary teams form strucutred, evidence based, individual risk management plans.
SAPROF is a strucutred checklist designed for you to use alongside tools such as the HCR20v3. The addition of the structured assessment of protective factors creates a more balanced risk assessment for futre vioelnce risk, enabling a more positive approach to violence prevention and aiding formulation, evaluation and risk communication.
This two day workshop will familiarise you with both HCR20v3 and SAPROF tools, teaching you to use them in your clinical practice. The course is also suitable for you if you have already attended the previous HCR version training.
