    The Hearts and Minds course, chaired by Rhona Riley, Lecturer, School of Medicine, University of Leeds, is designed to allow you refresh and practice your ECG skills and use them in practical scenarios. You will also receive an update on the cardiac effects of psychotropic medication and cardiac medication that many of our patients are currently prescribed.

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, ADOS-Second Edition

    Monday 30 April 2018 to Thursday 3 May 2018

    Led by Dr Carol Stott form Beginning with A Autism Consultancy and Training, this comprehensive course provides in-depth coverage of ADOS-2. The ADOS is a semi-structured, standardised assessment of communication, social interaction, and play or imaginative use of materials for individuals who have been referred because of possible autism or autistic spectrum disorders. The second edition (ADOS-2) improves an instrument already viewed as the gold standard for observational assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

     This course aims to be very practical and approaches the day with a simple scenario in mind:
    ‘You have been ordered to prepare a s.49 report by the Court of Protection: how to approach this task’.

  • Section 12 Induction

    This course is designed for doctors who wish to apply for Section 12 approval in England. It is not appropriate for those planning to work as a Section 12 Approved doctor in Wales. This course has been accredited by the North of England Approvals Panel (NEAP) for practitioners requiring approval for the first time under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act and is valid for those attending from other parts of England.
