Masterclass: Dependency vs Autonomy: Mental Health Legislation and Child Development

This masterclass will be ran by Dr Turlough Mills, Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist, IDF. This course will seek to expand on the CAMHS specific teaching currently offered through the Andrew Sims Approved Clinician Course. We will review current challenges in applying the mental health act and related legislation to children and young people, particularly focusing on the tension between safeguarding young people and helping our patients become autonomous adults.
