Essentials: Endocrinology and the Mind

Led by Dr Rob Moisey, Consultant at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, has been a consultant specialising in diabetes and endocrinology since 2007. He has been the clinical lead for the service and Clinical Director since 2011. His practice is in a busy District General Hospital. The session will cover the common shared problems and conditions between Mental Health Services and Endocrinology. We will cover issues around the impact of Endocrinology on Mental Health, the treatment of endocrine disorders as well as the impact of Mental Health, or its treatment, on the endocrine system.

After attending this course delegates will be able to: 

• Have an understanding of the impact of endocrinology on Mental Health and the treatment of endocrine disorders 
• Have an understanding of the impact of Mental Health, or its treatment on the endocrine system
