Book EventPresented by Dr Jacqueline Lynch, Director & Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Chrysalis Associates, the half day will focus on exploring the impact of early trauma on the development of the brain, and a child's attachment patterns. We will then look at how the brain development manifests into behaviours seen at home and the classroom, and the possible ways to intervene to manage these.
The purpose of the day will be to develop skills of professionals in identifying the neurological impact of trauma and to identify strategies to help children in what ever setting they encounter them.
After attending this course delegates will be able to...
- Identify the symptoms of trauma in a child
- Be aware of the behaviours that a child with trauma and attachment disorder show
- Be able to identify the most helpful intervention (referral pathway for them)
